As you can see from the lyrics I reckon that the song is about somebody singing to someone named Jeremy who is dying or that has died because in the text the singer keeps saying “ ill pray for you dear Jeremy”. Not only this but also lyrics such as “good lord he is choosing you”.
To start with I thought that the singer was singing to a girl and I and my partner had the idea to make a sort of love type video but as we found out more about the lyrics then we soon realised that it was more to do with the dying than the love. So this really changed a plan that we thought we would have. So we had to look at the song from a different point now which would be harder as we had so many other ideas but the story has completely changed.
Through the lyrics you can clearly see though that the singer has some sort of relationship towards “Jeremy” this makes me feel that when I come to the video then shots of the singer would be good and also maybe an animation of the character “Jeremy” but I’m not sure whether to add the real life “Jeremy” because that way it could add to the mystery of who this might be.
But in a way I think that the lyrics work really well as I’m sure everyone can relate to someone praying for someone and I like the idea of exploring this person’s views on someone and their relationship and showing this through animation and real life visuals.
